Just wondered what had make you happy today? Thought I would try and get a nice post going, maybe we can send this horrible cold weather packing if we all send out lovelly warm fuzzy vibes?

For me it was when I got down to the yard this morning at 8am and my lovelly friend and yard mate had not only turned out my old girl but had mucked out, done her bed and put her haynet up ready for tonight. It was a really lovelly surprise on a horrid cold morning.

Needless to say I will be getting her boy in tonight and making sure he is all snuggly and warm.

Might sound daft but getting their carrots, last bag in the shop. Were we live is very snowy and icy and we are out in the boonies so was thinking I would not get any. I know he will survive without them but we all like our little treats don't we? ;)

My boy was lovely and cuddly this morning. I put him out in his frosty paddock with a hayrack full of lovely summery-smelling hay in his field shelter. I mucked him out and left a big, warm bed and haynet for him this afternoon when my lovely OH will get him in. I work full-time and travel a lot so without my OH, who is not at all horsey, I would really struggle with DIY. :)

Finishing work, seeing to my nags, back home to walk our dog in the pretty snow (which I'm hoping will melt!) with my hubby and then holding the sofa down while watching Corrie :D...possibly with a glass of wine in my hand, that's what I'm looking forward to.

*offers round tea and jam scones* for extra niceness :D

That the ice in the pony's water bucket was only an inch thick this morning instead of 3!!

Also, when I was spreading hay out round the field this morning looked out across the lovely view and thought that even ankle deep in snow and wearing about 5 layers North Yorkshire still looks pretty beautiful and I'm very lucky to live here and I wouldn't swap my pony and go back to London living ever! :D

my lovely YO that for the third day in a row has mucked out my horse and tended to his every need ( i am on DIY). The crazy weather we have in scotland has meant we are not meant to travel and my car is just dangerous in this weather. OH has our jeep and i miss my pony but at least i know he is well looked after! big thing for me as i am usually a control freak! :):D

The farmers wife makes me smile evey morning when she makes our brekki for us. It's lovely to go inside to a warm cuppa and some grub when I've been outside in the cold, bless her she's a star:D

Funny thing to make me happy but I've decided to give up riding til Feb and give the boys 2 months off!! Shoes are coming off today and they will be out and about coming in for some food but then outside again enjoying their time off. I will miss the riding but it's lovely having the 'must ride must ride' pressure taken off and to know I've got 2 months of enjoying their company but also having some extra time for my OH and the dogs. I'll be itching by Feb to get going but being cobs they won't take much to be back into full time work and I'm sure they'll be all the better for the break.:D

I agree with Kokopelli, that's an amazing post and I fully agree with the sentiment that the peps on here are OK, I think that in this weather we should all take a little time to remember the thing we should be thankful for, A happy horse, enough money to get by, (with a little extra to go out to dinner) and a happy healthy family. Getting sentimental now going to stop. xxx

Sorry not horsey but hey ho - Watching my 4 yo daughter as an angel in her first proper nativity play - even brought a little tear to my eye :-)

Proud mummy moment as she had a proper talking role.

In our lovely PC world you can't get away with videoing or taking photos or other people's children!!! I think the r[recent] easoning behind this is that some of the children may be adopted/fostered and may "be at risk" (?) -

again - minority rules OK :o

I think the positive vibes are working people keep it up, the sun is now shining and the weather man (Mr Metcheck) is saying it's going to reach the tropical temps of, wait for it, PLUS 5 on Saturday, we may get to ride this side of christmas after all!!!!!! That will be fun after 2 weeks off!!!!

I thought similar things in West Yorkshire this morning!

Its all due to melt this weekend, then it will be dark, depressing and wet again, so I'm enjoying it while its here - even if it does mean carrying 16 buckets a day from the house!

i managed to get a pee sample from my old dog this morning at 5.30 without getting any on myself :D

ok - not as nice as some peeps = but serisouly - that brightened my day - i wa dreading it lol!!

That has been denounced by the Data Commissioner today.
