A non-horsey question about sausages.

I've got a pack of pork and apple Tesco finest sausages in the fridge. Their use by date is 11th November....do you think they'll still be ok?? Was going to stick them in some sausage tonight in the oven and have them with mash....dare I?? They look ok...
 
With meat, it is best not to go more than a couple of days over the date. Being violently ill just ain't worth saving a couple of quid!

Bit harsh..... maybe soapbox would of been more suitable but def not a "waste of space" . people ask about non horse stuff all the time!!
 
lexiedhb - I quite agree! cant see the problem myself, its only one thread! why is there such intolerance in the new lounge!?! surely its up to admin to say if they have a problem with where people are posting things....

Well if you'd been on here as long as some of the people complaining then you would know that Admin DO get irked about posts going in the wrong forums and have, on several occasions, posted about it.

Im sure they do but this was just a mistake.... a little one at that....... having your post called "a waste os space" is a bit much... IMO

fair enough, I can understand that if people are purposefully ignoring the guidelines. Hell, I've made the mistake a couple of times, its easy to do if you have both forums open on separate pages! but it was a mistake after all! Its not like The_Psephologist set out to annoy people by posting here....I honestly dont understand why such a fuss is made of such trivial things on here.

PS. I wouldnt eat the sausages, personally; I'd generally give pork 2 or 3 days over the BB date, no more!
 
Very true........... I do think the "if you cant say anything nice dont say anything at all" saying is a good one though........ understand asking for it to be in soapbox etc etc.......but the rest wasnt really called for!

there was a post created on here at 16:32 regarding non horsey posts on this new lounge then this post came on here at 18:32 and it seemed as if it was a two fingers up at ya post - the waste of space comment i made was referring, and i stand by this, at the fact that we are all quick to complain about the slow speed when uploading the forum, the cut in connection, the loss of typed posts when submitting etc and i think in each section ie new lounge, we can help ourselves somewhat by using the forum for what it is meant for! im off my "soapbox" now and back to my normal, routinely polite self

Having not read the 16:32 post as I dont spend my life on here, I didnt think this post was 2 fingers up at anything. One post in the wrong place will make NO difference to the speed at which this forum runs!!! it may of been posted in the wrong place , but not "a waste of space". I hope you never make a small mistake and have people come down on you quite so harshly!!

I agree that this forum should be used correctly but we cant all be 100% perfect all the time.
