Afternoon everyone!
Thought i would post an update on my not so a baby pony!
He turns 5 in april!
Since the last time i posted (way before xmas!) we have been up to loads!!!
The beach trip was a success, the white horses on the waves were a little scary but we did manage to persuade them to go in shoulder deep in a bit where there were no waves! I cant wait to take both my boys together as they are buddies now and my big boy LOVES the water so im sure he will persuade Beanz its fun too
The Bill levett clinic was another great success the not so baby pony was mega and managed all the exercises very well we didnt jump anything bigger than 75-80 as it was all about technique!
The im unimpressed with bath time look!
His first ode at 70cm was another success minus the errors due to a useless rider! A 36 dressage, 1 down sj and a silly baby run out on the xc cost us a top 6 placing but i was proud of him he took the whole day in his stride
Next up i took both my boys out for the first time together for a saddle refit, Beanz has been borrowing Bears saddles as i cant really afford to buy anymore, he hasnt shown any issues with them so i was praying they would either fit or could be reflocked to fit..... they fitted him perfectly! They needed a reflock but it was due anyway and now i have 2 saddles that fit both my boys perfectly! Happy days
Another ode was up on the cards next, this time stepping up to 80cm!!!! WOW what can i say about my not so baby pony! 3rd place!!!! 35 dressage, 1 down sj cuz i took my damn leg off him on the corner (its a work in progress!) and clear xc!! MEGA PONY LOVE!!!!! he made the step up feel effortless! God knows what i was worried about

That brings our round up to this weekend just gone where we thought another visit with the east anglian bloodhounds was in order! He was once again just awesome, jumped everything and behaved impeccably!

A few more hunt meets planned
Another arena ode at 80cm
Dressage qualifiers for the riding club
XC schooling
One more arena ode but this time all the way up to Aston Le walls to have a play with their amazing arena xc!
and im sure we can squeeze in some forest trips and lessons!
In other good news this goon is back in work and can start trot work next weekend!! Happy days!!
