What does a green ribbon on a tail mean? Never seen one (yet) but I sometimes hear people talk about them.
So, what does it mean? Yes, I am aware a red one means kicking :p But I've been wondering about the green one for sometime, too scared about sounding like an idiot to ask! Enlighten me, please? Thank you! :) xx

It means your horse is a novice, or a novice in the situation it is in, ie first time hunting you should have a green ribbon, as you dont know if your horse will kick or not....

A Green ribbon in the tail is for a young/green horse, so just a warning in general that it may kick/jump/spook/do something unperdictable.

dales ponies wear ribbons in their tails to show that they are not a fell. the norm is red white and blue but any colours can be used
