I was just wondering if anyone has used Allen and Page Veteran Vitality and what they thought of it?

Was thinking of trying it for our older pony (around 20) who needs something a little extra compared to our others. He loves Fast Fibre so I know he likes the consistency of a soaked mash.

Thank you :)

If he loves his Fast Fibre, stick with that and just add micronised linseed for extra condition.

p.s I've never used Veteran Vitality so can't comment on it's palatability.

I've been through all the mashy ones now :) and I liked Veteran Vitality but in terms of votes from the horses Ready Mash is their favourite. They postitively bloom on it and I think it holds condition better than VV.

My friend gives it to her old girl, she likes it and looks good on it. She's about 25yrs (rescue) and she has it with hifi senior chaff and hay. We recently had a yard visit by Allen + Page and they said if she needed more condition to give her linseed oil xx

Have been using Veteran Vitality for my 27 year old Arab and have noticed a good improvement, with more condition, shine and energy. She also has fast fibre and some C&C too, with veteran chaff.

Veteran Vitality has Linseed Oil in it already amongest other things! It is also vegeterian which has to be a bonus! Use it for my 2 (17 & 21yr) with Fast Fibre, both love it and look fab on it! One is a rescue who was almost 250kg underweight and the other just because he's getting on a bit. Farrier commented the other day that the younger (not rescued one) is looking the best he's ever seen him and he's been shoeing him the whole time I've had him.

Should add that the rescued horse is now upto weight and as fit as a flea!
