When you sit down with your dogs tonight, especially if they have thick or long coats, please feel them all over, right down to the skin for any odd lumps or bumps. We've sent a third dog this week for a trip to the vets to get one looked at. If your dog is particularly hairy, sometimes they are difficult to spot.

Thank you :o

Thank you :) I just feel that not enough people do, for example last week we found one that was about the width and shape of a hand (!) but quite flat, that the owner just hadn't picked up on because the coat was disguising it :(

Yep you can indeedy feel what the owners have missed esp in the shaggies, I have spotted a few testicular cancers too, slight enlargement of one testicle and a mass enlargement on the other dog.
I quite frequently feel large well attached growths in the chest area.

I do wonder about the general dog owner. ;) - something must happen to their sense of smell aswell as touch when they purchase their dog. Shi**y backsides, gunky ears, manky teeth/gums all seem to be missed.

and check mouths.
my boy had smelly breath for a few days,i found a twig wedged across the roof of his mouth between his teeth.it was a job to hook it out and where it had been was raw for a few days after.he is fine now and showed no sign of discomfort at all while it must have been in there.
