Just had to post cos its so nice to have a positive experience for once! Che is 100% in traffic but at the moment he is a bit full of himself and is being a bit of a plank, jogging and the odd mini buck, just because he can really. Had a nice hack this morning and about half a mile from home and on a long straight downhill stretch he decided the time was right to buck, squeal and go sideways:( First we met the dustbin lorry! being driven by quite a young crew, but bless them, they stopped, kept the engine on tickover and waited for me to get a fair way past, not only that but a youngish lad (why is everybody suddenly looking young!) waited behind me until it was safe to pull out and overtake. Couple of hundred yards further down the road and a farm feed lorry approaches. Now Che is absolutely not scared of lorries but he was doing his sideways squealing thing and the driver stopped, switched off and waited for him to go past. Not only that but I got a cheery "morning, he looks well" as I jogged past. We are in a rural area and most people are very good anyway, but I was so pleased this morning as neither of these lorry drivers would be local village people and were absolutely fab. We did get back safely (silly boy is now stuffing himself looking like butter wouldnt melt) and I was able to thank all concerned.

I like hearing these posts. And it's nice your boy is feeling so well, at least your ride wasn't boring lol

I had a good hack yesterday too, as my share is being much the same at the moment and a lorry had crashed into a tree, which scared the life out of him with all the flashing lights and banging about. Everyone was really nice to us (and also saying how good he looked as we jogged past sideways), apart from one van driver who waved back at us when we motioned for him to slow down.
