She did it last Friday, peeling a flap of skin off above her eye with bone damage (vet could see a flap of bone which was still attached at one end), wanting x-rays (but because of the weather couldn't get there) etc. Changed from IV to oral antibiotics on Monday, no pus after Tues, and the bottom bit (side was stapled, bottom left free to drain) had scabbed over by Wed lunchtime! Vet came Thurs, said she can go out in tiny paddock on her own as long as she doesn't roll.
She'd been off her feed, boxwalking, calling to her friends etc all through this time, but today was super chilled, bed as normal, had a little canter around outside, and even put herself back in to eat her dinner after her mooch around in the paddock! So good to see her back to normal, and can't wait 'till I can sit on her again, even for a quiet walk around the block!
