how can I tell how much forage my lad is getting from being in the field?

You need to convert what is grazed to dry matter, and its so long since ive had to do it i cant remember how

Out 5 hours he gets 8.75kg but 2.19kg of that is dry matter the other is water
and out 9 hours he gets 15.75kg of which 3.94kg is dry matter.
