Today some new farriers came to shoe him, we've worked very hard on his shoeing issues but I was worried that with new people he'd revert back BUT he was really good! So chuffed and the farriers liked him (think the cream cakes helped!!) and are happy to take him on, it's not easy finding farriers willing to shoe shire x's

Then this afternoon we had a lesson, we've been working alot on his trot as he was tending to pull himself along with his front and forget he had back legs! So today we did halt/trot/halt transitions and he improved no end. Plus we did some leg yield in trot :-)

And a picture of the boy cause I adore him :-))

Aw he's gorgeous :D
Well done for working on his shoeing issues, some people seem to think it should be left to the farrier to discipline them and teach them to stand etc, so I'm sure the farrier appreciates the hard work you've done too.

Is it difficult to get a farrier for a shire? How come? (after 3 horses and many years of horse ownership that surprises me!)
