A Question about portion sizes.. (food)

Hi peeps,

I posted a wee while ago about my dog feed and meals - basically half a tin each of Butcher tripe loaf each a night with a sprinkle of JWB kibble over it.

I decided to cut out the Butchers as I was told its too sugary and I know its no good for their teeth as too gunky.

So now I just feed the kibble at tea time with a dog bic at bed and one/two in the mornings.

I measured out the weight as descibed on the packet but it didnt look very much (these are two small terriers btw) so I put a few more in

Scarily I dropped a few into my sink and they puffed up huge with the water - i mean 3x the size. Is it right that it only looks a little dinner or what, I have horrible visions of bloat or something.

By the way I am trying to wean the Patterdale on to daddies shot bunnies and we are doing ok - the jack wont touch however. They have fresh raw and cooked veg also.

Sorry for the rambling, just sick of the tinned stuff as it stinks and is really quite pricey....

JWB can be fed wet or dry

I feed it wet every now and again just to give the dog a bit of different texture.

I often add natural yogurt or veg oil to dry food for a bit of variety and to add condition.
