A question about Trailer ramps

Would it be possible to buy an older second hand Ifor Williams trailer and get the ramp changed so that it’s the van door/ramp style. I can’t afford to buy a new trailer but I really would like the van style doors rather than purely the ramp. I see that it’s an option on the new trailers and I’ve seen the older ones like it but not sure if it can be changed or they were like it when new.

At a stab in the dark, I'd assume it is possible, anything is possible, but depends what you want to pay for it.

I would think most competant engineers/fabricators would be able to convert. Maybe have a word with a local metal worker/welder/engineer

Think i'm being a bit dim but not quite sure what you mean. However, Bateson do a 'Boston' option on their trailers which is different style door/ramp to most trailers, might be worth a look?

Yes it's sort of like that. Ifor Williams do the same as an optional extra. I cant afford to buy a brand new trailer and as they are like hens teeth I wondered what the possibility was of biting a second hand trailer then having the ramp changed.
