Well as you know 7 months of bute box rest seizures laminitis corrective shoeing rotated pedal bones and eventually very gentle hacking have passed by....

We've come through a lot including an incompetant farrier who couldn't shoe her correctly but didn't tell us, our new farrier died very suddenly and we've now got a new one who is very good. She is living in overreach boots at the minute though!!

However...
I arrived home after 3 weeks at uni and rode her this morning. She was so forwards going and full of herself!! Threw a few weeny bucks and had a few strops throwing her head and squealing, worked on the bit very nicely.
Took off up the bridge, throwing her head
, so we took her in the indoor to see if she'd follow Pebbles round (she found corners very difficult initially).
She trotted foot bloody perfect round that school and kept up with Pebbles (kept biting her tail!)

Then I tried her out on her own and she trotted, then went into full blown canter and did 2 full circuits of proper canter, I lost the brakes and eventually managed to stop her!!!
She even got down in the centre of the school to roll with me (little *****bag)

And even after all that, she came back to her stable very sweaty (she's still fairly unfit) and STILL took off across the field, setting the rest of the herd off!!
I can't even explain how happy I am with her
She seems to have come on so fast in the last few weeks you can see she's starting to build some topline up and get her muscle back.
On the other hand, Pebbles has somehow banged her knee which is now slightly swollen - she wasn't lame today and seemed to trot easier but her knee is still a bit puffy.
One works, the other breaks!!!!!!
