A friend and I are due to fly to the UK to look at 3 horses over this weekend.

We have organised to see a grey ISH first, who sounds perfect for my friend. However, upon organising a time last night, the owner rang to say that he's just not himself (Low motivation under saddle - but totally normal in all other ways) She had him blood tested and it came back as him having a low muscular enzyme count (little dehydrated, may of tied up) but the vet was not worried.

My question is, would you bother going to see him? She really likes him and he does do everything she wants/needs, but she won't be able to ride him
 
I would still go and look if it was me. You can get an idea what he is like - at least if you turn up and find he is a hand smaller than advertised you can strike him off the list completely!
 
Why would being 1 degree under mean she can't ride him at all? Or does the owner not want him ridden? Can the owner give you the blood results in detail so you can discuss the implications with your own vet? her's might not be bothered but yours may have a different view.

Could you/ would you come back to try him when he's on form? If not then I would cross him off the list.

It could be a minor virus that causes no impact at all, all the way through to liver failure that could be life threaterning or take years to recover from.
 
If your coming over to just to view I take it that you have limited time, so I wouldn't brother and would go and see something else that is 100% instead.
 
I would not go I would try to find another to view.
Horses with tying up syndrome are a complete pain to manage easier to find another.
