I ordered my 2nd lot of linseed from them over 2 weeks ago. I left it about 10 days before I rang them to chase up the fact it hadnt arrived. Longer than I usually would but given the time of year I know couriers are super busy. Turns out the bloomin couriers claimed they had attempted delivery last Monday and I wasnt in and so had left a card, they said they had returned the next day and done the same. Utter rubbish
Not only had I been both days but no card was ever left. Charnwood were brilliant about it and right on top of it straight away and called me back, saying they had spoken to the couriers and they had promised to deliver the following day. No surprise that nothing showed up
However Charnwood were fantastic and sent our another lot for me. So, of course, the courier then appeared with the first lot and 24 hours later.. with the 2nd lot, which Charnwood have told me to keep with their compliments
The flippin courier said he had left the cards at a house 1/2 a mile away as 'his satnav had taken him there' ! When I pointed out that a postcode can cover a 5 mile radius he said , but how am i supposed to know where places are and I cant see any house sign - to which i went out and SHOWED him the ruddy massive metal sign with our house name on at the end of our drive; the foot square plastic sign on our fence by our side gate and the large slate with our house name on in the porch window!
but apparently you cant see any of these in the dark now can you
umm.. we have outside lights... he presumably has headlights? Grr
To add to my annoyance at couriers, I had a different one knock and run this morning and chuck a parcel at me and drive off - which after they had gone i realised wasnt for us, name/address not even vaguely like ours
I spent a considerable amount of time on the phone sorting out someone to come and collect the parcel so it could get to the poor person waiting for it. My neighbour also got a parcel today from DPD that has been ripped open and one of the items of clothing taken, a Christmas present for her son
I know its a busy time of year and mistakes happen but these in all these instances they just havent given a damn for people's property.
