:D

Well it's Friday night, I have nothing better to do (it seems) than wading through CattleProdGate so thought I might as well reintroduce myself.

I've been a member since 2007 but have mostly just lurked however I am now posting a bit more.

So: from the Midlands, have 2 ponies, a dog, 6 chickens and waiting on 2 cats. I took the plunge last year and bought a bit of land to get away from livery yards. Limped through our first winter "alone" so will probably be picking all your brains for how to make this year better (why do we dream of summer all winter, then worry about winter all summer??)

Anyway the imprtant part my boys :)

Paddy is the love of my live - 15.1hh 12 yo gelding, no idea of his breeding or history, I've had him for 4 years and we have been moderately successful at local RC type stuff. He's currently retired and (hopefully) recivering from PSD, aims are for him to lose weight and be comfortable http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=7051434&l=93c2809581&id=511066746

Texas is a 3yo American Paint gelding, I've had him for a year and he is the gentlest, kindest and easiest horse I have ever met. He is being slowly long lined and worked from the ground and may or may not be back this year depending on how he matures. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=7239367&l=ef657f7f8f&id=511066746

And then the Banes of My Life :D Fred and Ginger - mini shetlands, pets and pampered ponies http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=7089897&l=aca8b9cfdc&id=511066746

Ooh hello :D

I'm thinking about taking the plunge and buying some land to escape livery yards, so you'll have to tell me how you coped! :D

There all gorgeous! I particularly (sorry, I actually can't spell... :p ) like Texas! :D

The spelling is spot on!

Buying the land was the best thing I have ever done. IT's bloody hard work but worth every second.
