Temple Grandin is great.
Her work on cattle handling and the design of cattle handling facilities is brilliant, life changing for some cattle, and needs to be promoted far more over here.
Highly recommended her videos on YouTube. Though mainly focused on cattle, still relevant.

I remember reading her stuff on handling cattle in slaughter facilities. A topic many would have swerved but so important for a calm, compassionate end.

Just spotted this thread - highly recommend the 2010 film "Temple Grandin" which is the story of her growing up with autism, and how she got to be so important in the field of stock handling. It's one of my all time favourite films.
