My Dears, there's been precious little, of late, from;

Rosiefronfelan.

Paddyduo,

Simsar,

Judgemental.

JenHunt and her OH, Mrs. George, C_C and East Kent, have appeared, but I was just wondering how you all are.

We seem to have acquired another troll, and whilst a little more lucid than the last, only seems to be interested in mischief. I can't speak for others, of course, but it still surprises me that I take newcomers, at face value!!

Anyway, I'd welcome your news. Particularly, news of the dear Rosie.

Alec.

I'm popping in and out briefly - this time of year is a bit hectic and when I HAVE time, I tend to spend it on the breeding forums as the same old arguments from the same old - and new antis - tend to make me want to bash my head against the wall!

But I'm doing a bit of hunting-related stuff - getting Rambo schooled on as my husband's next hunter - this was him when he still HAD 2 :D

Rambo-1-a.jpg

(that's my rider - not my husband on him)

and for the next week I have our whipper-in for another concentrated session of riding lessons!

I had a ban yet again and decided to give the forum a miss for a while and got very depressed. Its been a good spring, lots of lambs and a beautiful filly foal. I am off to London on monday for 5 days of horrendous tests at the top neurology hospital to find out what is going on.Wish me luck Alec------ Rosie

Really sorry to hear that Rosie. Best wishes, hope everything goes well for you.

This is my busy time of the year now - both work wise and on the hunting field. Every weekend is now spent either on the river or representing hunting and country sports at a show. Hopefully catch up with some of you at the major events.

I'm not just chuffed to hear of your successes, but pleased to hear that you've now rejoined the ranks. :D

Your trip to "The smoke"? Try to make the best of it, difficult though that will be. Do you have access to a lap top? You can keep us abreast of the "goings on", and you can also view the antics of our recently acquired troll!!

Luck? Certainly, but more than that.

Alec.

Hi Alec

I have been around just in Soapbox. Having a poo time of it recently (left job because of a nasty person or two), so been spending more time looking for work and attending interviews etc. Apart from that all else is good this end. Terriers doing very well at keeping the local rabbit population in check and my blood pressure high while trying to find them!

Nice to see you back Rosie!!!!

good luck Rosie - hope it goes as well as you hope it will. (does that even make sense?! I'm sure you know what I mean anyway!)

Alec, aside from dealing with trolls, OH and I have generally been enjoying the great and wonderful out of doors. Ron is almost roughed off, having had a few early ODE's to do as well as steward duty at the P2P (see link for photo of grumpy cob trying to race TB's! http://hoddphoto.photoshelter.com/g...ngwold-2011/G0000C9zhKOGPoLM/I0000.Ew8NW8NaPY and pulling like a tank! http://hoddphoto.photoshelter.com/g...ngwold-2011/G0000C9zhKOGPoLM/I0000uCszxjAx_f4). He had 6 wks without back shoes on, and whilst it helped with how he walks down hills on the road, it didn't quite suit him all round, so they went back on and it's back to the drawing board for that!

OH and I are still planning on doing a 35mile walk called the "white rose way" (along the western edge of the moors from Roseberry Topping to the Kilburn White Horse for those who are interested) at the end of July, but seem to have done little preparation!

Hens and the 2 ducklings they hatched are doing well, but the poor bantam "mum" is very confused by her 'chicks' obsession with swimming and climbing into the drinking bowls!

work is rubbish and I keep thinking of things I'd rather be doing (job wise) but can't find anything that's nearly so convenient or well paid, or quite frankly with all the other stuff that goes with this job!

otherwise... not much to report!

Rosie I wish you all the best.
I move down to Buckinghamshire just days after the puppy show so will probably be backwards and forwards for most of the season. I have managed to sort Oshk out with a hunting home for this season up in lincs but I will have to familiarise myself with local hunts down there as I doubt I will be back in Blankney country quite every weekend.
I think the next outing will be Lincolnshire show, and to my huge disappointment I will not be at the Yorkshire show this year, first time in a very long time :(
