Just thought I would update you all on mine and Ruby's progress at new yard. Shes settled back in really well, is becoming the laid back Horse I fell in love with, as opposed to the anxious bag of nerves she was at old yard. She loves her stable, she hasn't refused to go in once (at old yard I had to revert to backing her in as she wouldn't go in) Shes perfect to tie up and hasn't pulled away (again something she did frequently at old yard) shes much better to bring in, has stopped rearing and leaping, although sometimes she will still try to spin and jump (we are working on this
) but she improved so much. We have been working on loading (she used to load herself, but started refusing at old yard) and she has been good, but could do better.
Riding wise, I am hacking out 3-4 times a week and 1 schooling session a week. She is still weak behind, but not lame. So I am trying to keep my schooling to 1 session a week and build up with the hacking. We went for a lovely 1 hour hack on Sat, so yesterday I decided to try something different and free school over a jump. She has jumped in the past, but not much with me. She was brilliant
I took some vids and photos, I only popped her over about 3 times on each rein as she hasn't done too much and didn't want to over do it. Heres the photos and a vid.
Just cause shes cute
And the vid
