A sad dilemma

Thanks for the update, I had been wondering what you had decided to do.
Congratulations on finding him a really good home. Both you and your friend are bound to feel sad and upset at his going but it really does sound like the best thing for everybody in the circumstances.
And you can always take your minds of it by starting to look for something more easily managed for your friend to ride.

My friend has decided to have a break for awhile, certainly over the winter anyway. We have got another mutual friend who keeps her cob, pony and now foal at field so we'll both help her out.

I've also had an offer to help exercise some horses that are used for a school twice a week and there is lots of off road hacking so that will do me xx

Well, that sounds a very good outcome for all concerned! What a lucky horse to have you and your friend as owners. Hope all goes well. xx

Sell it onto someone who has the experience to bring it on. Why keep a horse if you cannot get any happiness out of it? Hope it all works out whatever you choose.
