sorry my first one of these! I think I have enough posts to warrant one now

I have 2 saddles which I will be selling to go into the pot for the one new (hopefully fitting!) saddle + a bit more I expect!

Saddler coming on Wednesday so I do have to keep in the back of my mind what I can expect for these 2. I emailed saddlesdirect and was quite surprised on the valuation for one of them!

So:

1) Ideal Jessica, 17" medium, suede seat/knee rolls, buffalo leather. Flair flock. Not sure on age but no real signs of wear on suede etc. I have had it about 9 months. It is super super comfy and has really enabled me to sit to him and I have loved riding in it but his shoulders appear to have grown too much for it to ever fit again

2) Black country event 17.5" medium. 5 years old, I had from 6 months old, no real signs of wear/scratches etc.

Thanks v much

Sorry, can I just ask, when you say that you were surprised by what saddlesdirect offered you, do you mean it was very little?

I have a few to sell, and am wondering it that it the most hassle free way to go about it, but obviously I don't want to give them away....

Saddles direct split the price 40/60 which basically puts it as a no no for me! Local saddlery will take 20% which is more realistic if I go that route. However the price saddles direct reckoned they could sell the GP for was the same as what I paid 4 years ago for it!

Ps have an iced bun!

I sold a similar Jessica saddle (with flair) a couple of years ago and it sold easily on ebay for £550.

Incidently - Ideal saddles widths can be adjusted - if it's a bit too narrow for him (but otherwise fits) you can send it back to Ideal to change.
