Just bunged the haynets on to wash, they’d started smelling a bit funky even though they weren’t washed that long ago and I didn’t soak hay in the very hot weather.
It’s very satisfying looking at the yucky water turning clean and knowing they’ll be all sparkling when they come out
Sometimes it’s the small things in life!

In fairness, if you’re not soaking hay you probably wouldn’t really need to.

Headcollars, lead ropes, grooming brushes and muzzles next :D

I soak hay and had never considered washing my haynets! I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

Did you wash them by hand or in the washing machine?

If you do lengthy hay soaks it definitely is, the nets go slimy and smelly otherwise
So glad it’s not just me!

I did figure I’d be likely to be in the minority though ? I only soak hay for an hour or so but it’s enough for them to go a bit grim.

I’m always surprised by the number of dirty headcollars I see, why don’t people wash those?!
