...just got back from putting out the night haynets (1 hangs from the shelter, 1 from a tree, one horse has his in a rack and another gets it in a potato box! He's shire x, he eats alot....!!)

....and I noticed theres a slight frost! On noe's...here it comes! :o

So I put the medium-weight on my mare, she had a light-weight and is half-clipped, and a light weight on my anglo, he is getting clipped at weekend so will have his medium on then, and Fatboy resembles a hairy bear so he doesn't get a coat until this weekend as well when he gets clipped! Shire X has rug on already as he has had his clip....

Winter....UGH!

Oh no!! Mind you we had frost last week the boys water had frozen over :( my boy has been in his medium weight for the past 3 weeks but he is a wimp!

It's the snow I'm not looking forward to.

I was thinking it feels chilly out tonight! Going to pop out to my two soon, my tbs currently naked, he's unclipped but for the past fortnight has been sweating up even in lw turnout, so he's been naked at night. My id is a fatty so he's always naked but was contemplating putting him in his fleece, as he's arthritic so want to keep his joints warm as he's stabled and can't move about!
Snow shovel at the ready! You've made me remember, I saw a sledge yesterday in a shop, meant to go back for it (dragging hay to feeder) but forgot!

I can't believe how cold it has got over the last couple of days. 2 of mine are in l/w rugs as one is clipped, but he doesn't really feel the cold, my other isn't clipped, but is a big wimp, then my other boy doesn't have one on as he like a big teddy bear at the moment. I am dreading the snow :(

Appologies everybody I think this is my fault!
I have be going ON AND ON AND ON about how lovely the weather is for mid-november and think I may have jinxed us all and we will now have heavy snowstorms to deal with.
I did think it felt extra cold tonight and am currently snugged up with a hot water bottle!

Ahhh so it's all your fault is it...go to your room immediately and don't come out until you can learn to behave properly:D

On the other hand a good frost will kill of all that horrible equine atypical myopathy crud...:)

We have sunshine, 14C, flowers are coming out, grass is growing and the mosquitos have come back out to play  Oh, and my GSD's are moulting everywhere, the silly sods
