Following on from my previous posts, the vet x-rayed her feet today and I am thrilled to say that there are no changes in any of her pedal bones. The vet explained that things could still change and he will be x-raying her again in a few days but at least it is good news for now.

Bloods are due back by the end of the week so I guess I will know the full picture then. The vet also said that he is not quite so sure as to what is wrong with her. Yesterday he was pretty sure that it was severe laminitis induced by EMS, now he's not so convinced. God knows what else could be wrong with her? Any ideas?

Lottie seems pretty fed up though. She was really agitated when I visited, think this is mostly because she is so hungry. They are still only giving her handfuls of soaked hay despite me telling them how worried and unhappy I am about this. Not going to give up on this though, will be speaking to the practise owner tomorrow.

His reason is that he feels it is too risky until the bloods are back and we know what we are dealing with. My argument is that it is too risky to carry on starving her! I really don't see how soaked hay could make her any worse.
