This weekend there was a major storm in the NY region, with rivers overflowing, fallen trees everywhere and a number of people killed. So no walk on Saturday, but we did get out today, despite waterlogging, dicey-looking trees and freezing temps. Please excuse Stella's odd get-up :P

Dunno if I should admit to this....but I have a jumper very similar to Stella's!! If it goes to the Shrunken-Jumper Graveyard (sadly, a place all too familiar to me :p) I'll send it Stella's way :D

Some of the destruction/flooded paths:

And lastly, Slim Jim. I may need to borrow a spaniel or something, as the puglet does not get the concept of off-leash walks, and simply meanders, pees, sits down etc. while Stella is busy hooning and chasing sticks. After about fifteen minutes we got so sick of his 0.1 mph pace that he went back on the lead.

Please do. She was pathetically shivery on Saturday, so I picked this up from a 75% off bin at a pet store. It has a peace sign on the back and is made of the cheapest, stretchiest material you could imagine.

Stella and Prince are looking in fine fettle. :)

Several planes bound for NYC landed here yesterday because they couldn't land there and they then bussed people south. It's been horrible here as well though starting yesterday late afternoon. It's been raining since then with high winds and flooding so I have what seems like three permanently soggy dogs as well. Ugh!

We had dinner plans on Saturday night, and driving down I-95 was scary. Trees all over the place and all of the lights for about ten junction were out. And then once we got to the restuarant--power failure there, too! It was quite romantic, though, as the proprietor put out candles and started a log fire.
