A splint or not a splint..that is the question!

Super has developed what looks like a splint on the outside of her canon bone (pic to show location - red spot)

She isn't lame and there is no heat? She's 14 yrs old, so is she too old to develop a splint?

Also will it affect her in showing competitions?

dont think they ever to old to develop a splint,as regards showing classes am not sure how it affects them....she is gorgeous,used to ride an id that was her double....had foal xtb and he was awesome too

be interested in the responses you get as friends horse got splint,wont say which leg and where,but he was 19,i didnt think that it was a splint when i saw it,but it was

i to queried it as it was on the outside but it sounds like it is a splint!!!Farrier confirmed it for us

they are great when you get a good one

usually solints are on the in side but it could be some cause probs some dont about showing i am not sure on that!
