A swimming video

Im sure after he found he was Mr February he is exhausted after all those thank you letters he had to write and having to hide from the paparazzi:D:D

Lol! Hes trying to get in shape now to impress all his adoring fans :D
Does he swim
without the coat and her holding on? xxx

Not without his little life jacket :o
It was his 3rd time so hes still getting used to it i think. For the first 5 minutes he splashes around trying to get the saussage but then his attention wonders as he gets tired and she has to steer him around. He did seem to just be floating rather a lot towards the end though, which i guess is the down side to his little coat :o

I'm sure he will soon get the hang of swimming without the life jacket, its great exercise, although it does take an age to dry them off particularly with the GSD undercoat. I used to take Chaka to a canine hydrotherapy pool, just for exercise, she loved water and would swim happily for ages. It was (probably still is, haven't been ages) a great pool, a near enough full size pool in a lovely timber building, my son used to go in the pool and swim with her. I tried Buffy a couple of times but she didn't really enjoy it, and when I no longer had Chaka to take :( I stopped going. Funnily enough Buffy splashed and spluttered more with the jacket on than without it.

Great video - bless! Glad to see he is keeping fit for the ladies too. How long does he go for each time?

He did 7 minutes in the vid up there, she increases it a bit each swim I think. It doesnt sound like a lot but he got tired quite quickly. The video was the last minute or so, and he was shattered :D

I dont think they allow dogs to swim without them at this place, health and saftey etc :o but he swims in the sea etc and hasn't drowned yet!
I wish I could find a big pool that I can swim him properly in, butthere doesnt seem to be any near me. I looked into what CC said about finding a horse pool but the nearest to me seems to be newmarket, which is too far to go just to tire my dog out for the evening!

Class.

I love the way he heads for the steps/way out when he gets the chance "ok, u crazy cow, if you are not giving up that sausage im outey"!:D:D

Im glad u are able to ware him out:D

Bless him he looked nakered. Gem would love that he swims every chance he gets but the little fella would be outta there like a shot. Typical terrier he hates water  :p :D :D

It's his attention span more than anything else... he probably forgot she even had saussage :o

Would it be considered cruel if I invested in one of those massive paddling pools/errectable swimming pools for the back garden and plonked him in that... :D:p:p

It looks great, shame the pool isn't bigger, he doesn't really have a chance to get going, I don't know but I would have thought its difficult to swim in a circle, if he swims fine in the sea etc its not a problem really
