Poor old Ralph thought that he was going to have it easy when I had surgery to my knee
He thought that life was going to be all grass and quiet walks around the field....Little did he know that life was going to continue as normal, well for him anyway!
I went up to the yard to pay my debts and to make sure that Lardy was ok, Chris the lady who is looking after me told me that he had the hump on Friday.
He was only given a small breakfast at 07:00 (which does not bode well), then Chris gave him a groom, apparently the sun was pouring into his stable and he does like to sun bathe, so this routine was interupted. At approx 08:15 he clocks Mark my instructor walking up the yard with his tack....Chris said he put his ears back and went to the back of the stable. He was then ridden.
Mark put him back into his stable after riding him and Ralph settled into the sun again, and looked quite contented, again an interuption, this time Mick the farrier
Chris said he really looked humpy, once he had had his new shoes, back to the stable.....ah, Ralph relaxes again and is given some brunch ( gets upset if he misses out on a proper breakfast ). Then yet another interuption at 11:30 as he is eating, the horses are being turned out......cant a chap get any rest
