A tragic loss :(

My best friend lost her boy today.

He was having fun in the field when he fell and broke his leg in several places. He was such a brave and good boy and my friend made it to say goodbye.

I am just so shocked at how quickly you can lose your horse.

I went straight to my horse and gave him the biggest cuddle ever

Pointless post but feeling very sad.

My friend is in shock.

She took some tail hair to have made into a bracelet and also took some photos of him before he went.

He was such a good boy and will be sadly missed by many. RIP Billy xx

I am so sorry. Big (((hugs))) to your poor friend. Devastating for her. Just shows we should treasure every moment we spend with our horses. You never know what is round the corner.Heartbreaking x

Ah so sorry for your friend,what a horrible thing to happen.

Years ago, my friend found her mare dead in the field, we think she had coliced overnight. She bought a new pony and after having him for only 6 weeks he was found in the field with a broken leg. So tragic. She didn't get another pony after that.

Anyway, RIP horse.

My OH and I lost a horse on Sunday night too. She was pottering around the front garden and we too found her with a broken leg.

It's really, really shocking and I'm still totally devastated. Best wishes that it gets easier for her soon xx
