Hi all
Just a quick note to say a big big thank you to all of you who have already bought hovis' second book this year.
I'm very aware that i have not been around much to promote the book and the good work that Bransby do with the money raised.
Its fair to say its been a bitter sweet year with the birth of my brothers first child, my father suffering a large stroke, the purchase of our new house from hell, the release of the second book, the birth of hubby and Is first child (8 weeks premature and requiring weeks in intensive care) and then sadly the death of my father only 6 weeks ago.
HOWEVER i am told that as always the might of the HHO online community have been their usual supportive selves and the second book is doing well despite my understandable absence.
I would also like to thank IPC media once again for their support - as always you've been fab.

So as Christmas grows ever closer and perhaps you are pondering what to buy YOs or horsey friends then please take a look at Bransby Home of Rest for Horses online shop or Horse and Hounds own shop for copies of Hovis' book. As I have said a thousand times Hovis and I don't make a bean out of the books and all the money raised goes to Bransby. The work they do caring for sick, abandoned and ill-treated horses is fantastic and whilst the HHO mascots Carrot and Spud may now be over the Rainbow Bridge, there are sadly so many more like them that need help.

Thanks once again for all your support and apologies once again for being a lot less attentive than i usually am. Hopefully life will start to return to something approaching normality (what is normality with a tiny baby and a horse will someone please let me know?!!) and normal service will resume!

Thanks again :)

So very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. What with everything that's been going on, I'm not surprised you and Hovis haven't been on here much - for which you are completely forgiven.

Much as we miss Hovis's Friday Diary, it's far more important that you take the time to look after you and yours.

Thinking of you and wishing you all the best for a far better 2013.

Completely agree with Faro - sometimes other things in life have to take priority.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your father, and we'll still be here when Hovis manages to wrestle the laptop back from you. It's great to hear that the books are doing their good work in the meantime though.
