I really enjoyed it, main issues that I have is that I have got into the habit of nagging with my legs (a combination I think of going back to riding some very dead to the leg riding school horses while I was inbetween horses of my own and thinking that berg isn't walking forwards when actually he's tracking up really nicely - he just feels slow - well he is a 16.3hh shirexcob)
Anyway instructor took my stirrups away and with constant reminders I stopped nagging with my legs, he also taught me to ask for him to walk forwards by bringing my lower legs round his body and squeezing while lifting my rib cage - as instructor put it feel like you're lifting him up. What a revelation!!! Berg straight away responded (we got him from a riding school and although he is very well schooled he was a used alot for big novice men so has got a bit un-responsive understandably).
We also did turns on the forehand which he is brilliant at
So all in all a very good time was had by all, my friend said that Berg looked like he was enjoying it too. We have another one in two weeks
Thanks for reading as my OH isn't interested so I have no-one else to tell xx
