I re-mortgaged my house to pay for the £6,000 vet bills (including surgery) on my daughter's horse! We'd only had him about a week when the lameness problem kicked on, so to speak, so were not covered by our insurance 15 day exclusion. Six years on, I have no regrets!

We couldnt afford the mortgage repayments. Have chosen the cheaper option for op, so will still be under the limit. xx
