A vet bill how much

haha! Just out of interest! Got my vet bill through yesterday from Lucky's attempt at plastic surgery

So, how much in total would you guess at for:

2x Call Out,
2x Sedation for a 16hh horse (one slightly less that other)
6 stitches (and the hourly rate) and stitch removal
7 sachets of antibiotics.
10 sachets of bute
3x tubes of antibiotic eye drops
1x flu and tetanus jab (just happened to coincide!)

ETA - probably nearer £300

My guesses, based on Ron's recent bills

2x Call Out, = £70 total
2x Sedation for a 16hh horse (one slightly less that other) = £70 total
6 stitches (and the hourly rate) and stitch removal = no idea! £50
7 sachets of antibiotics = £10.50
10 sachets of bute = £5
3x tubes of antibiotic eye drops = £15
1x flu and tetanus jab (just happened to coincide!) = £35

So, total guess = £255.50

????

Probably milliions out!

I would also guess in the region of the above! so... how much was it?

Horse managed to slice open an eyelid once and that cost £200 but he only needed 1 x sedation so I would guess £230ish for the eye and £35 for the vaccinations.

Love how RonaldoTwo can actually offer you a itemised comparision - figures Ronnie would have required the same treatment at some point!

Grand total of £187... so not too horrendous really! I love my vet

That's excellent, don't suppose your vet would come to Cardiff for the same call out would he?

can i ask what was wrong with horsey, just going through treatment for an eye ulcer and have no idea what bill is going to come to. Had a call out for a sunday too :-s any idea what that would come to? x

Haha! Probably pushing it annagin

talie2rose, she basically sliced her lower eyelid off, so it was dangling

so had to have it stitched back on again!!

Bar the stitches and the eye cream, you're right

I'm getting so good at knowing what vets bills will be - I was only a couple of pounds out when I guessed my last bill

I think where I saved money is the sedation costing a grand total of £11 ...

The stitching was cheap aswell, and just included in the hourly rate....
