A warning about trying on zip-up boots...

...not that anyone's likely to be as dim as me about it. :redface3:

I popped into a shop and on a whim decided to try on some Toggi leather boots with a zip up the back. I had cropped jeans on though. Never mind, I thought, I'll try anyway. :rolleys3:

So I pulled the zip up on the first one, it got nearly to the top then zipped into the skin of my leg! OUCH :eek3: :eek3:

It was so embarrassing, I had to ask the shop keeper (who I know quite well) to rescue me. It hurt like mad if I tried to pull the zip back down. I felt like it was going to tear my flesh off. :(:(

With a sharp yank she got the zip off my skin while I whimpered pathetically. There's a little sore patch left, but it's fine.

I'd been at the yard a short while earlier, and managed to pull a metal gate over the back of my foot (pulling it closed behind me). Also painful but no apparent harm done.

So, I'm off to the yard now. These things happen in threes I believe... :eek3:
 
Ha Ha :D

I got my leg stuck in a pair of very expensive Konigs once luckily it was the shop owner who had tried to force my well developed calf into the boot whilst saying "yes they are meant to be this tight when new" - the zip broke and it was hell trying to get them off :o

When I told my OH the story he said, "Maybe you can imagine the problem us blokes sometimes have with zips..." :eek3:
