Hi fellow HHO's

Just wanted to give you the heads up, a man was caught on our yard tampering with a combination type lock securing a field with horses in on Friday 22nd Oct. The lock had been tampered with twice on that same day!

The lock to my field (chainlink & padlock) which is next door to the above said field had also been moved/twisted round however, there was no damage to my padlock.

He was disturbed by a fellow livery who walked passed him whilst walking her horse back to her field, he then proceeded to walk along the public footpath which cuts through the middle on the yard.

He was white, in his thirties, tidy/clean appearance, dark hair & was wearing blue denim jeans & a smart wollen 3/4 lenght black coat (like the type door men/bouncers wear).

It is usual for us to see dog walkers round the yard due to the public footpath, however this man was alone & not dressed for walking, especially along the muddy footpaths.

This incident has been reported to South Derbyshire Police, should you see anyone acting suspiciously around your yard, please report it to Swadlincote Police Station on 01283 550101.

Thank you
