Hi everyone, it's a wee bit overdue but I thought it's about time I introduce myself!
Well, my names Scott. I'm 22 and originally from Edinburgh. I moved to Ireland 2 years ago to live with my girlfriend and thats when I was introduced to the wonderful world of horses!
I grew up in a very non horsey family, I didn't even know anybody who knew the front end from the back!
Anyway, a year ago, I started learning to ride and I've been on and off riding since, from not having the right horse, horses too small and everything else in between. Now, I'm getting back into it since the situation is ripe and everything is perfect
Heres a wee introduction to my lot.
This is Scout. He's a 6 year old TB gelding. He was raced and didn't do too well in that and he went on to teaching the trainee jokey's how to ride at the Curragh....That said, he's pretty quiet and laid back! Since day one, I've gotten up on him and he hasn't put a foot wrong, he's very patient, especially with me still being a learner, he's honest and genuine. He has ridden in company with me, and dozes off while another horse goes cantering around him and he hacks out, everything I want... So I've got myself a great horse there! He's just back home after being out at grass for the summer.
Next, I introduce you to Bobby. Bobby is an 18 year old, Irish Draught x TB. He's the inspiration to my wee King of Diamonds obsession. I got Bobby as a quiet ride and hack. One of the first things we did with him was a wee bit of loose stuff in the arena. We put up a wee jump, and he popped it, turned the corner and out of the arena! He continued to canter off up the field and just stopped, looked back, and looked as if to say, Bet you didn't see that coming!
So here is Bobby
Now we have Jasmine. Jasmine is one of a kind. She will make a great eventer. She enjoys jumping, and enjoys natural fences. She's willing to jump and always looks for the next fence. She's currently in foal to a Friesian stallion and due at the end of April, the start of May...I can't wait!
First pic is when I first got her.
And this is her now, after just coming back home from being out for the summer!
Finally, this is me on Sebastian, the Friesian stallion that covered Jasmine
And thats all from me, I wont keep going on and on all night!
Just wanted to say hi
