Hello I'm trying to change the ownership and address of a welsh pony I bought, he has a green welsh pony society passport, I want to know the fee for changing these 2 things in his passport and have wrote to the welsh pony and cob association address in the passport twice but never heard anything back from them. Does anyone know a website or phone number for them so I can contact them. Also how do I find out if he is registered? Many thanks for any replies.

If you have a green WP&CS passport he is registered, all his breeding details will be in that, the website is www.wpcs.uk.com

Change of ownership is £12.50, they are usually fairly quick to send it back to you after changing details but they will want proof of ownership if the registration chain has been broken and may want details of any previous owners who are not recorded to be filled in, they will then stamp and sign it.

Hiya :)

if he has a Welsh Pony and Cob Society (WPCS) green passport, it certainly sounds like he is registered. Here is their website: www.wpcs.uk.com/

Transfer of ownership is £12.50, and their address is:

WPCS
Bronaeron, Felinfach
Lampeter
Ceredigion
SA48 8AG

Phone: 01570 471754

They are generally most helpful if you call them. They moved offices last year or the year before I think, so if your pony is not a youngster, the address in the passport is likely to be incorrect.

Just being curious, what is your pony's registered name, what are your plans for him and any photos? :D
