What would you do if you had the chance of owning 6 stables and 6 acres of land and you really wanted to start up some sort of equine business what would you choose to do?

Livery unless I was a really gifted pro rider in which case I would produce horses but for the last you'd need a school really

Always wanted to run and equine rehab yard, swimming pool, spa etc etc Not sure 6 stables and 6 acres would be enough though. probably just have my own and a livery on that size

Ooh I like the idea of specialist livery I was thinking along the lines of retirement livery but rehab or laminitis livery would be good too. If it comes off my horses wouldn't be there they would be on my field at home this is neighbours yard that possibly might be coming for sale in a few months and he is giving us first option to buy

There are sooo many equines out there nowadays that need 'laminitis/metabolic issues type' friendly yards and very very few that offer the facilities from experience (round my way anyhow!).

If that situation came into my lap, i'd seriously think about setting up a yard with the above in mind, as unfortunately, (as has been in the media again recently), equines nowadays seem to be more and more on the 'large' side with access to too much grass and fed too much hard feed.

I'd have a paddock paradise track set up and 'horse friendly' grasses sown into certain areas of the acreage, in order to produce your own hay.

Fill the stables with my own horses and then do something non horse related that actually pays a reasonable wage for the hours worked.
