Never thought I'd have to write something like this. After being given notice yesterday I have been frantically looking for a place for my 2 boys.
I found a lovely yard 5 mins from home. Currently 3 mins from home so not much difference!! Also new yard is 8 mins from work.

I get 2 x huge brick stables
2 x huge crew yard type turnout pens for really bad weather
A lovely paddock with shelter
Use of a 60 x 30 manage
Hacking straight in to woods.
No restrictions on turnout but both my boys arnt keen on horrible winter weather and prefer to stay in. There is one other horse there belonging to the owner. They are renovating some stables in the hope that they can let that part of the yard to a sole use tenant. That would be 4 stables.
Whilst Frantically messaging everyone, a lady got back to me regarding a sole use yard but it's 20 mins away. It's more expensive than the yard I saw yesterday and obviously added to that is diesel. I work full time so it would be a fair trek and I wouldn't be able to do them at lunchtime in winter like I like to do but it's playing on my mind!! She hasn't mentioned acreage of field. It has got a school. I'm thinking it's just too far.

What’s wrong with yard 1, sounds fine to me. Why would you drive further and pay more? although 20 mins is very easy to do if you prefer that yard but you don’t seem to
If I didn't work full
First yard for me sounds fab set up. also the peace of mind of a horsey person there who would notice if anything is a miss in your absence. Snap it up before anyone else from your yard gets it.
I grabbed the chance! I always said I wouldn't put my old horse through another move as he struggled last time. He is still fit and well so hopefully he will cope ok
