My 12 year old son came in screaming his head off clutching his arm, you know that sickening feeling you get in your stomach when something is very wrong? Well, I had that. We've been there before you see, about 2 years ago, same thing, came in screaming his head off, clutching the same arm

Only this time, fortunately, it wasn't quite as drastic as that. He has cracked a bone in his wrist, so has had it put in cast, last time he snapped off the bottom of the bone in his upper arm, dislocated it and the muscle popped underneath it too, so it was a mess and he needed an op to put it right.

Needless to say, he was in a panic tonight because he thought he would have to have another op, but luckily for him, it was quite straight forward!!!!

He was swinging on a rope which is tied to a large oak tree near where we live, all the kids congregate around it. It snapped whilst he was in mid swing and he went head first towards the ground, his body landing on the grass, his arms landing outstretched on the tarmac pathway

Thanks for all the sympathy guys. Just had another trip to fracture clinic, he is now sporting a red lightweight cast, just in time to go back to school and not be able to write!!
