Thought they were nearby on Saturday, not today. Stupid stupid old mare is out in the school and has gone ballistic bucking, galloping and cant catch the old biatch to shove her in the stable. God am going to weep if she's screwed her feet up again

Pointless post but v v stressed! (As usual ha ha)

Don't panic. So long as she has a good trim and support if needed she will probably be ok. My pony with laminitis has had a few broncing sessions in the past and been fine.:) Fingers crossed.

I feel your stress as my lad had a few 'moments' when he had laminitis and I was worried sick! He also started getting so stressed in his stable on box rest that he spent a few dayswalking round and round creating a track in his bedding...he survived the increased exercise and so did his feet - although we turned him out to prevent the stress...which was a gamble too.
The school will be soft...you cannot change things now and it cannot be helped...just take the usual precautions and perhaps stable for a couple of days to settle things down. Wishing you the best of luck.

Thanks, mad old mare is still beside herself with excitement and me trying to catch her was just making things worse so I had to leave her to get on with it. When the hunts around she just tries to get away from you, its the only time I cant catch her.

One of the not so good things about having an office that looks out over the school and stables is that I keep wincing every time she moves! Dont think Ive got a lot of work done today. Impressive turn of speed though :( Fingers crossed she wont have screwed herself up.

scary isn't it, the hunt used to meet at the top of our field in our old place but I think ours used to upset the hunt horses as they were unloading more than the other way around!! I am sure she will be fine, other than when in fear I genuinely don't think they will do anything to hurt themselves if they are sore etc. I am sure she won't have done anything she didn't feel able to do, hope she is ok when you get her in!!
