Damn it..put horsey out this morning to the turnout pen, brought him in this afternoon.
Went out to do evening feeds, checked the legs and there is heat literally radiating off one of the front ones

Not swollen at all, nor is he lame

So I hosed it and put him to bed and fingers crossed he comes sound, has hunting to do on boxing day!
Poor fellow, also off his feed a bit and very quiet, so suspect we may get full blown lameness tomorrow...

Where is the heat?
It may not be too bad, may just be early stage infection but some ligament troubles dont give lameness/swelling

kind of near the front of the leg? On the inside, below the knee?
Infection?
Do you think there's any chance he just over strained it galloping on the beach and it'll just..go away?
