At almost exactly this time last year Daisy got several yellow waxy scabs on her back. I picked the scabs off and washed with hibiscrub. They were weepy on the first day but then fine. The hair hasn't ever grown back though.
Tonight I was grooming her after a half hour schooling session and one of the bald patches had swollen into a pea sized lump. She didn't seem to mind me prodding it.
Does this sound like the saddle? She hasn't changed weight since last time I had the back lady out 3 months ago and at that point she said that she had an excellent back with no problems.
Do you think its a coincidence that it has flaired up at the time that the scabs first appeared last year or could it be something environmental? She's at a new yard so it presumably isn't something in the field.
Any thoughts? I'm really hoping its not the saddle
