Aargh ****** mud fever

I've been battling a fairly small but incredibly persistant patch of mud fever which started in the summer. I seem to have chased it up from near the coronet band, and now it is hanging out on the fetlock joint.
I've used
Sudocrem: holds it in check but doesn't get rid of it
Aromaheel: did work well for a bit although got sore after a few days, now just seems to make him sore
Fuciderm: did nothing at all
Baby oil and vinegar: seems to work well as preventative/ holds it in check but again doesn't get rid
Have also been poulticing to soften the scabs and washing with Hibiscrub.
I'm now utterly fed up, and the weather is so cold that washing anything is hellish.
I've read about Flamazine in a few posts - where do you get it? Also someone suggested Nizarol - can we get it here and has anyone tried it?
Any other suggestions at all?

I use camrosa - it softens the scabs and seems to heal the sore patches really quickly - hair regrowth is really good

The first winter I had with my horse i battled mud fever pretty much constantly none of the usual stuff worked. In the end it was medicated talc powder, the stuff you use for athlethes foot, that got on top of it. I would bring her in get rid of teh worst of the mud dry her legs as best I could and then absolutely cover her in it.

I posted about mud fever a few days ago as my horse is also suffering. I've tried various things but this time my vet gave me Flamazine (you can also buy it online) she told me to put on a thick layer of flamazine then cling film the legs and put on a thick stable bandage right down the leg, duct tape the bottom so it doesnt ride up. Leave for 24 hours, when you remove it the scabs should come right off, then wash with warm hibiscrub diluted slightly and dry leg thoroughly. If you now have nice pink skin with no scabs (which I had after 1 day!) then dry leg and leave bandage off but cover on more flamazine. Then use the flamazine as required. Once the leg is totally healed my vet recommended Muddy marvel barrier cream.
