Super and little used and known until deceased event sire. He is the sire of Mark Kyle's 4 star eventer Willow Fairgreen Attraction and in 2007 I believe was the USA's leading event sire and was in top 10 as a dressage sire. He was also sire of Robert Maguire's Grade A SJer Patrick IV. He stood in Ireland and is from the famous Abernant/Abgar line which has proven to produce top class jumpers and eventers. Able Albert was also approved with the Dutch WB studbook I believe...a not so common thing especially in those days for a TB.

Here is a list of some of his progeny: http://www.horsetelex.com/progeny.php?horseid=2566

Hi Revena! Have just picked up your post, and ER has probably given you all the key info on this stallion : he was one of the very first TBs to be approved by the Dutch WB studbook, and stood in the Netherlands for some time before returning to stand in SW Ireland. If you track him on the Sports Horse Database you'll see that his pedigree is full of stars, including a winner of the 2,000 Guineas on both top and bottom line (Crepello and Blue Peter). He has Nearco doubled up on his dam line and the great Blandford on the top line, as well as Abernant, one of the great TB sport horse sires of all time, as ER has said, who appears in many continental WB pedigrees.

And with all that .... he was little used. I'm just lucky that a small breeder in Kilrush had the foresight to recognise a good stallion! My mare has already bred a couple of cracking colts, one of whom gained a high First Premium at the Futurity and went on to win the Yearling class at the YEH Championships at Tweseldown, as well as Best British Bred and Best Colt.

Do PM me if you would like to see some pics of her ... I'm afraid that she's less than elegant now, being a fat happy broodmare!
