One of my dogs is absolutely terrified of fireworks, thunder. shooting. Bird scorers.Any loud bangs.
I have spent countless times sitting with a wild eyed stress panting, shivering dog.
Hes been on rescue remedy. Had plug in things, serene-um. All the stuff people suggest.
I heard of a thundershirt but was loathe to buy one for it to do nothing so I asked people whether they used one and what they thought. A friend tagged me in a diagram on fb of a bandage you tie round their body that does the same as a thundershirt.
He has worn in twice now and omg, the difference!
Last night it sounded like world war 3 outside. Paddy just laid down and went to sleep. A bit later he got worried and jumped on my knee shaking but not as extreme and without the panting and wild eyes. I stroked him and he fell asleep on me til bedtime. So much calmer
I was not expecting it to work. All the things we've tried. I didn't think a piece of material (I used one of my horses stable bandages) would make such a difference
I just hope it continues to work now :-D
