I have them on both my GP saddles and love them. They are light but you don’t lose them because of the shape, wide footbed and angle they sit at. If you want the same type of stirrup but with more weight go for the Sprenger Bow Balance, they weigh a ton.
They are light but not so much that you would lose them. I wasnt mad about them in terms of they hurt my knees! I did have 2 pair of Sprengers aswell but sold them for FlexOns which I much prefer!
Great thanks guys. I've found online somewhere saying they weigh 410g- can anyone clarify If this is each stirrup or for the pair? My current ones are ridiculous light at 220g each (too light!) So if they're 410g each then probably ok. (Weighing stirrups is very odd I know ?).
I'm just needing something with a wide grippy sole and no side flex- dont like it for Dressage? like thw fact these have the twisted eye too. not wanting to spend a fortune, as my new jump ones are costing enough (need the flex for my knees jumping!)
Love mine as I have arthritis in joint in my foot and having the wider area in these stirrups when jumping has really reduced the pain when I jump. Light but not ridiculously light.
I was too tight/mean/frugal to buy the Freejumps and the Opera have been a great substitute.
I quite like mine. I decided that I did not like my flexible stirrups for dressage (Sprenger Bow Balance), and switched to these because of the offset eye and wider bed. I do have the Spanish flag on them since they are on my PRE's dressage saddle, but you can easily not stick a flag on to avoid that. I've had them for about a year now and have no regrets.
I have them on my GP saddle. Weight doesn't factor as they are always at the right angle and grip is good. I have recently (Christmas!) been given a set of Tech Athena stirrups for my dressage saddle and absolutely love them. i didn't uby the dressage version of them as the foot platform is not as wide.
Great thank you for all that guys. I do like the look of the arenas too - but they don't have the offset eye. I'm fortunate enough to work in a tack shop so will order in and have a wee nosey at them first!
