Hi all

I am going to be purchasing a acavallo gel out seat saver but I have a bit of an issue when it comes to sizing. I have 2 saddles that I would like to use it on ones 16.5" and the other 17.5". Now when purchasing they come in sizes M (16-17") and L (17.5"-18"). Unfortuntely I can only afford to buy one for the minute so was wondering if anyone has had the same problem? Not sure whether to go for the L or the M and what implicatins it will have for it being slightly too big or small on the other saddle.

Thanks for looking

I have the gel in one and got the large for a 17.5 saddle. Its very slightly big but you get away with it being a bit big I think, it doesn't affect the way it feels, it doesn't move but it just looks a wee bit baggy. Maybe someone in your area has one they would let you try on your saddles, I think it varies between saddles not just seat size as well.

I bought the 16 - 17" one as was riding in a 17" saddle but then changed to a 17.5" saddle and it fits that fine. So go with the medium size, I would say.

I would recommend that you measure the edge of the pommel to the edge of the cantle on both saddles before you purchase.

I purchased the large and had to return it because it didn’t fit my saddle as the pommel wasn’t a cut back type.

Horse Health have these in stock and if you call them they will advise www.horsehealth.co.uk – they are really helpful.

They are hoping to bring out a gel-out and gel-in (reversible/all-in-one) and also an extra large size I think during Sept 2013. The manufacturers have been busy working on the design. They advised me to give them a ring at the end of September.

I hope this helps.
