I posted on here a while ago about which insurance company to go with, Ive chosen NFU as they are cheapest and a lot of you recommended them. Had the 5 stage vetting done this week and just received the policy forms though. I covered for loss of use, loss of horse and vet fees, but it seems to say he's covered only for accidents for all these?? I thought I was paying for cover for any problem - ie. if he needed (expensive) life-saving help like colic surgery for instance (that isnt an "accident") etc.

Is this normal? Have I asked for the wrong type of insurance?!

Ive just moved over to them and they have done the same with my policy, ive got to send them a vet report from my boys accident, so im hoping they will ammend itwhen they get all the information, if not i will be changing again

In my policy with SEIB I'm pretty sure this is termed as "vet fees".

Definitely give them a ring.
