I was taking my new lorry into coachbuildres to have some bodywork done, under warranty , it was already there when I bought it second hand but the dealers agreed to repair it.

I was going slowy round a very busy roundabout, connecting 2 A roads, unable to get into correct lane due to all the cars whizzing up my outside at the junction, so I had to pull onto roundabout in outside lane but with right indicator on , going VERY slowly.

Car comes up the right side of me, playing beat the lorry and sunndenly goes left, no indicators, and obviously without looking.

Hits my front right corner, car going so fast she bounces across my front, down the verge and up the top of the next road.

She 'thought' I would turn left! - Whats wrong with looking? I knew she was there with no indicators on, what is it about a 7.5t lorry that makes it invisible? Especially one with an
indicator on?

Had to call police as road was partly blocked, they say they will say 50/50 as no witnesses stopped and no one hurt.

OK so the sun was low, I was wearing sunglasses and could she perfectly, she wasn't. Police were also wearing sunglasses.

Low sun or not, she would have been in my shadow, she must have realised I was there!

Pretty ironic seeing as it was going to coachbuilders anyway!

They will do basics and make safe and maybe do the 'pretty bits' after the insurers have had a look.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I have been driving lorries for 15 years.

Never ceases to amaze me how car drivers react to lorries. I don't drive ours OH does and I spend most of my time with my eyes closed at roundabouts, especially the magic ones at Hemel, how people think they can squeeze in past you beggars belief. You must have had a moment when you thought serves you right

What a tattie! Considering she would have been on your RIGHT where the RIGHT indicator was flashing orange! Even if the sun was low to her right she would still have seen it.
ALSO, If she as in the RIGHT lane why was she turning left???????? Hope HER insurance pays for your lorry.

My old driving instructor had someone do that to him once when he was in an unmarked police car in the middle lane of 3 lanes, about to go straight on but the guy to the right wanted to go left and was missed off that they hadnt let him push in (they were doing the speed limit and had no one behind them, the tit was just being a tit!) So he drove in front of them. HEHE, but he got a nasty shock!

PMSL at the hemel bit!! Pain in the arse to get round in a car let alone a bloody horsebox!!!

TBH it doesn't matter who wins the claim as I have protected no claims and somehow a NIL excess (there are some bebefits to getting old!)

It's the principal that counts though.
